Description
A guineafowl or guineahen is a exotic game bird we sell at Goffle Poultry. Taste wise, it is similar to a roaster or broiler chicken, but the meat is leaner and a bit gamier in flavor. As with most game birds, there is less white meat than dark meat, so one has to be careful not to dry it out in the oven. The skin is a little darker and yellower than normal chickens. Typically averaging about 3-4 lbs eviscerated, the guineafowl feeds a little less than a broiler of the same size, usually feeding 2-3 people in a sitting.
